Choosing an image format

JPEG is widely supported and often useful for photographs. PNG preserves sharp edges and transparency without lossy compression. WebP supports lossy and lossless compression and is broadly supported by modern browsers.

Will conversion improve quality?

Converting a file does not recover detail that was lost in an earlier export. When converting to JPEG or WebP, a lower quality setting can reduce size but may introduce compression artefacts. Always inspect the preview before downloading.
